Terms and Conditions

These Membership Terms apply to all law firms joining The Legal Alliance.

By completing your membership application and ticking the acceptance box, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Membership Terms.

  1. About The Legal Alliance

The Legal Alliance is a trading style of Legal League Ltd.

The Legal Alliance is a professional membership organisation supporting independent law firms through networking, business development opportunities, events and access to carefully selected Alliance Partners.

Membership is a professional membership and is not a consultancy agreement, agency agreement or contract for services.

  1. Membership

Membership is held by the law firm, not by any individual.

One membership covers the entire firm, including all partners, solicitors, legal professionals, support staff and every office or branch operated by the firm.

  1. Membership Fee

Membership is £150 plus VAT per calendar month, payable monthly in advance by Direct Debit.

  1. Joining

Once your application has been accepted, we will send you a secure Direct Debit link via GoCardless.

The form takes approximately 60 seconds to complete.

Your membership begins once your Direct Debit has been successfully established.

By completing the Direct Debit mandate and submitting your membership application, you confirm that you accept these Membership Terms.

  1. Membership Benefits

Membership provides access to The Legal Alliance community and its benefits, which may include:

  • networking events;
  • conferences and roundtables;
  • introductions to other member firms;
  • access to Alliance Partners;
  • business development opportunities;
  • commercial offers; and
  • other benefits introduced from time to time.

Membership benefits may change as The Legal Alliance continues to develop.

  1. Introductions

One of the key benefits of membership is access to our trusted professional network.

By joining The Legal Alliance, you agree that, where we believe it may benefit your firm, we may introduce you to other member firms, Alliance Partners or other trusted professional contacts.

You are under no obligation to use any organisation following an introduction, and The Legal Alliance cannot guarantee that introductions will result in work, referrals or commercial opportunities.

  1. Events

Most Legal Alliance events are included within membership.

Occasionally we may organise optional premium events for which an additional charge applies. Any additional charges will always be advised in advance.

  1. Ending Membership

Membership may be ended by either party by giving three months’ written notice.

Membership fees remain payable throughout the notice period.

Cancelling a Direct Debit does not in itself end membership.

  1. Promotion and Photography

Unless you ask us not to, we may promote your firm through our website, newsletters and social media and may use photographs taken at Alliance events for promotional purposes.

If you would prefer your firm or representatives not to appear in promotional material, please let us know.

  1. General

The Legal Alliance may amend these Membership Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Any services provided by Alliance Partners are supplied under their own terms and conditions.

These Membership Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
